  2. I was told in writing class that you should use parenthesis, quotation marks and especially exclamation points !!!!! as little as possible because it causes the reader to work too hard. Yes, we are to accommodate lazy readers. I use the italics instead of quotation marks as dialogue. Maybe people think I’m just being really sarcastic…(for Christine (oh, and for you too, Mark!!!!!) Anyway, soooo love the drawings. Have you ever met someone who over-uses or mis-uses air-quotes? DISTRACTING! (But I’m not mad Josiah)

      • Went to a Christian Writer’s conference reminiscent of Donald Miller’s experience. But I did learn one good thing; edit until you can’t take it anymore. However I don’t do that on the blog. It’s sloppy writing, but fun. Anyone who loves to write is a natural! (!!!!!!)
